Efena industrial hydrogen-assisted combustion system

A Retrofit Path to More Efficient Industrial Combustion

Industrial operators need practical ways to manage fuel costs and emissions without abandoning serviceable boilers, furnaces, or process-heating equipment. AHAC™ is Efena’s engineered retrofit approach: it produces oxyhydrogen on demand and coordinates delivery through automated controls designed around the host equipment and operating profile.

How AHAC™ Works

1. Assess. Efena reviews the thermal load, fuel use, duty cycle, controls, available utilities, and installation environment to determine technical fit and establish a measurement plan.

2. Integrate. A properly sized Electrolyzer W and Smart Regulus Control Unit are configured to work with the existing boiler, furnace, burner, or process-heating system. Oxyhydrogen is generated on site and on demand, avoiding compressed-gas transport and bulk hydrogen storage.

3. Validate. Baseline and post-installation performance are compared under defined operating conditions. Results depend on the equipment, fuel, load profile, installation, and measurement method.

Designed for Real-World Industrial Benefits

  • Retrofit-first: Designed to complement qualified existing thermal assets rather than require wholesale equipment replacement.
  • On-site, on-demand production: Produces oxyhydrogen at the point of use, reducing the need for transportation or bulk storage.
  • Automated control and protection: The SRCU coordinates operation and monitors system conditions through integrated sensors and shutdown logic.
  • Performance-centered implementation: Each project begins with operating data and a defined baseline so outcomes can be evaluated responsibly.
  • Modular engineering: Configurations are selected according to the application, thermal demand, and site conditions.

The Technology Behind AHAC™

Electrolyzer W is the on-site oxyhydrogen generation platform within AHAC™. The Smart Regulus Control Unit manages production, electrolyte dosing, operating conditions, ignition interfaces, and protective shutdowns. The complete solution is configured for the specific host system—not sold as a one-size-fits-all efficiency claim.

Applications

AHAC™ is intended for qualified combustion and process-heat applications where site conditions support safe integration and meaningful measurement such as:.

Industrial Boilers and steam systems

-Furnaces, ovens and pre-heating equipment

-Food processing and commercial thermal operations

-Other engineered process heating applications

Efena evaluates performance using documented operating data rather than universal promises. A validation plan can include fuel consumption, production or thermal output, operating hours, relevant emissions measurements, installation conditions, and before-and-after comparisons. Reported outcomes are application-specific and should be interpreted within the conditions of each test.
